Vortex offers a Turbo Cleaning Mode if you want quick and fast cleaning. This turbo mode is exclusively for cleaning. You can’t shave in Turbo Cleaning Mode because the blades are moving too fast to cut any hair but it cleans the shaver in no time.

Simply press and hold the on/off button to shift from 13,000 RPM to 17,000 RPM. Then just rinse the shaver under water. Water will rush through the razor’s super-fast spinning blades to clean out hair, dust and other debris.

Start out with a gentle pressure on face to properly shave with Vortex. Patience is needed because skin and beard need about 30 days to adjust to any new shaver. Once the skin gets used to the shaver, the amount of pressure applied to face can be increased. Replace the out foil at least once a year and the inner blade once every 2 years to maintain the razor’s cutting performance.

If you glide the shaver lightly, it would leave so many beards that going over the same spot almost 10 times from all angles becomes necessary.
It did better on smooth cheek but going over and over the neck makes it the neck look like it’s been sun-poisoned.
It pulls the skin a bit and requires many passes to get a reasonably close shave.
It’s a quiet shaver but can leave the face and neck with red bumps.
The fan in the base started doing a weird noise after 4 months.
When the battery dies during a shave, it needs to be plugged for 15-20 minutes before you can complete the shave.
