The Panasonic ES8243A Arc IV Nano Men’s Wet/Dry Rechargeable Shaver is an electric shaver that comes with a quadruple foil and four cutting blades. The cutting surface has been expanded by 32 percent for an efficient shave with each stroke.

The expanded surface also spreads the pressure when applying the shaver to the skin so users will not feel any irritation normally found on lesser models.

The Panasonic ES8243A has no difficulty to cut even the thickest beard thanks to the Panasonic Linear Motor that powers the blades. The motor operates at an amazingly fast 13,000 rpm where standard razors operate at only 8,000 to 10,000 rpm.

The shaver features Nanotechnology blades angled at 30-degrees for a better cutting performance. The fourth finishing blade delivers an additional cutting not found on triple-blade shaves. To get the closest shave, the foils are arced. The foil also glides evenly for uniform shaving on all surfaces of the face.

Ergonomically, the shaver is easier to hold than the Panasonic ES8168. The shaver fits pretty ergonomically in the hand.

The trimmer is not in the best position and requires a little more finesse to use.
The power cord does not plug into the razor very easily. One of the user sometimes feel as though he has to force it into the bottom of the razor.
The shaver is never very good at beard trimming.
The blades are quite sharp so one user still gets cut with the like he does with a razor.
With the large four-blade, it makes cutting in the areas where you don’t have a lot of skin area (chin, jaw line, upper lip, base of sideburns, etc) more difficult.
The shaver is not a very quiet shaver.
It requires at least 30 days to start showing good results.
Replacement blades are on the pricey side compared to other razors.
The shaver will not work while charging.
