Below are the feedbacks from the 7140 Cord/Cordless Rechargeable Shaver users that I found from the internet.

Pros

  • Comparable to the other more expensive models.
  • Easy to recharge and the fully charge 7140 can last for 2 to 3 weeks if you use daily.
  • The shave is close, comfortable and fast even with less pressure applied.
  • Easy to clean, just rinse under the water tap and let it dry because it is waterproof.
  • The three rotating heads flexes individually and the entire head assembly flexes in the middle allowing it to follow the contours of your face.
  • Super quiet.
  • Can be used with or without cord.
  • The instruction manual is good.
  • Designed to fit the hand well.
  • The shaver is lighter compared to other electric shavers.

Cons

  • Doesn’t shave hairs that lay flat against the skin.
  • The internal battery is made of NiCd with memory type instead of NiMH, where NiCd battery has to be fully drained before recharge for optimum performance or otherwise the life will slowly shorten.
  • The shaver doesn’t come with low battery indicator so you’ll be wondering when to charge the shaver.
Pop-up eyebrow trimmer is hard to use.
  • Best for someone with light beard but could pull the hair off thick beard.
  • The razor runs at low speed thus contribute to slower shaving time.
  • The sideburn trimmer doesn’t work that well.
  • Bulky external transformer at the end of the charging cord.
  • No level settings where it shaves from the root, not suitable for someone who wants to leave a bit of stubble.
  • Short power cord so you have to place it near the power outlet to charge it.
